iChat does not support the registration of new Jabber accounts. You can only use accounts that have already been set up!

Click on “Preferences” in the iChat menu, then on “Accounts”. Click on the “+” on the lower left side of the window.

Chose “Jabber” and enter the Jabber ID and the password. The click on “Done”. (Please note: the account must already be registered. You can not create an account in iChat.)

Your Jabber account will now appear under “Accounts”.

Next up, you need to click on “Server Settings”, uncheck the box “Automatically find server and port” and enter “macjabber.de” as the server.
